The Sons (2013)
mementoes, like shells picked on the beach or beautiful stones. There is something that weighs in these pictures. The concrete aspect is dark evenly undulating waves or a cloudy sky. Melancholy moods suit the pictures with a strange ease. Is happiness never real without some kind of wistfulness? Of course it isn’t! Only light can cast a shadow… Antti Nylén
